MANGROVE tables for DEDON

2010 - Designed at EOOS as product manager

DEDON is a german company proposing high-end outdoor furnitures. Their philosophy is to bring the comfort and the quality of living room furnitures in outdoor environments. Their products are often between a garden and a swimming pool or the beach and the sea. So when they asked us to design a set of tables we quickly got inspired by the mangrove plants as they are growing between earth and water. The creativeness of this project comes from the structure of these plants, and thus of the Mangrove tables, which are randomly built but incredibly strong and stable. The tubes and the plate are in aluminium, the cu-outs on the plate are made to avoid water staying on it. They have been designed following the pattern of the structure shadows.
